The 70-D3B-2 G is a Butted Seam machine that sews a gap between ends of material. The "Gap" Machine is used for applications taht require drainage between fabrics ens or seam detection.

The Advantage of the 70-D3B-2 G

The Merrow 70-D3B-2 G industrial sewing machine produces a single-thread butted Gap seam, specifically designed for the end-end seaming of woven and non-woven material. The machine sews a 5/8” stitch with a physical gap (approximately 1/32”-1/16” wide) between the ends of joined fabric. This stitch is effective for applications that require drainage or seam detection between pieces of fabric. The 70-D3B-2_G can also be used in the processing of thick fabric, where it allows a seam to lay flat under the tension of processing.

WHY it's better

The 70-D3B-2 G is used to create a space between the ends of materials that are sewn. This has many effects:

  1. Guarantee that the seam will be flat on thicker or more rigid materials.
  2. Allows space for extra fluid (dye, bleaches) to drain
  3. Offers an optical sensor a measurement interval

HOW it's better

Merrow modifies the needle plate, and feed dogs on the 70-D3B-2 to create the G style machine.
